Congrats Boise! You are #1!

Boise was named the most improved real estate market in the nation by CoreLogic.  CoreLogic provides data and analytics about real estate and financial services that gives an understanding of today’s business challenges and how these problems can be solved.

Boise ranked #1 in all the metro housing markets across the country for year over year real estate strength (RESI).  The RESI is a monthly index that ranks and compares quality, sustainability, and health for housing markets.

This is no surprise.  We know how cool we are here in Boise and the surrounding Treasure Valley areas.  Haha!  Seriously though this is great for the overall economy.  We are getting all of the distressed (bank-owned and short sale) properties off of the market which is good for sellers’ values, but buyers are still able to find affordable prices out there, and the record low interest rates are helping keep mortgage payments down.  A lot of people who have been in trouble with their mortgage payments have been able to refinance as well, preventing more distressed properties from hitting the market.  These are great signs moving forward.
